L’envie de donner une nouvelle forme à ce qui existe déjà, de transformer la matière tout en laissant visibles les traces de son histoire. À travers la céramique, les coquillages et les matières trouvées, il explore le geste, l’assemblage et la transformation. Une approche proche du sampling, où chercher, collecter, sélectionner et recomposer deviennent les étapes d’un même processus. Les formes naturelles se mêlent à celles façonnées par la main, donnant naissance à des objets hybrides, entre corps, artefacts et reliques. La matière devient alors un terrain d’expérimentation, avec ses contraintes, ses accidents et ses surprises. Une manière de faire dialoguer ce qui était déjà là avec un nouveau geste, pour en faire émerger une autre forme.
A desire to give new form to what already exists, transforming materials while allowing the traces of their history to remain visible. Through ceramics, shells and found materials, he explores gesture, assemblage and transformation. An approach close to sampling, where searching, collecting, selecting and recomposing become part of the same process. Natural forms merge with those shaped by hand, giving rise to hybrid objects somewhere between bodies, artifacts and relics. Material becomes a field for experimentation, with its constraints, accidents and surprises. A way of creating a dialogue between what was already there and a new gesture, allowing another form to emerge.
